Interesting post I can understand the points you've made, security brings isolation brings more feelings in insecurity, bringing more security... It reminded me of a I saw a video on YouTube couple days ago, a woman was explaining that our quest for freedom or better put, our dream for freedom cannot be realized because freedom represents instability, danger and chaos, our subconscious wants stability, predictablity, law and order. A captive mind cannot comprehend real freedom. These two ideals clash and our subconscious overrides or will sabotage our efforts to do so. We have been programmed with fear for generations now and you can see how effective it was by how compliant the citizens were when their freedoms were taken away... (think covid)...we are also heavily medicated, processed food eating, psych pilled, fluoridated guinea pigs... but i really like that you are striving to better yourself and overcome that weakness we all wrestle with. I will check out Allen Watts the wisdom of insecurity, thank you

Yeah that makes sense. It's feasible for me to think that freedom, which even in itself sounds a tad ambiguous, can lead to anxiety and/or paranoia. For myself, if I have too many options I can be left feeling aimless, rather than being hyper focused in one direction. Thus, you get a sort of "analysis paralysis". But yeah, I'd highly recommend checking out some Alan Watts if you're interested in these ideas.

Absolutely correct.... The notion that the world should bend to the will of the individual is the source of the postmodern neurotic fixation on security. However the reverse is also true, an individual should not allow the world to bend their will.... Materially speaking of course there's a reality we all must meet, but in how we perceive, interact or live within the world is where the uniqueness of the individual comes from and is largely responsible for diversity of human experience and creative progression. 🙏

I believe this is why Atheist who believe in positive freedom are more spiritual/religious than folks who claim religious affiliation. Religion has a decreasing influence on the worldviews of man because enlightenment theory is inheritably the promotion of negative freedom. An example of religiously minded atheist are Myron Gains, Sydney Watson, Anthony Brian Logan, Dave Smith, Richard Dawkings, Patrick Condell.

You're not wrong. It used to be a no-brainer when it came to man's purpose. I'm of the mind that even things like the current culture war stems from sheer boredom, at least in part. I forget the author, but someone wrote that if the U.S. were a story that it ended after WWII, that we've been wandering around in the epilogue ever since.

Freedom is the detachment of expectation, the world changes and our attachment to how it should be is a shackle of our own grip. I believe the goal is to indeed let what will happen happen while being so strong it effects us not

All you need is a secure foundation, wanting to be perfectly secure is a sign of delusion, wanting some base level of security is perfectly reasonable and it is only because of the powers that be that we don't have a good universal foundation, e.g a simple house, and unlimited energy, these would be incredibly easy to achieve today. Wanting to be part of a perceived "better group" is a sign of weakness in my honest opinion, why would one seek the affirmation and security of others, when the vast majority of people are barely even sentient? Seeking things like feeling exclusive and special, to be part of some "group" comes from a feeling of inadequacy, and there is always a best choice, it just depends on what outcome you actually want. Being secure doesn't mean you have to isolate yourself unless you are going for perfectly secure which is a delusion, I have a base level of security I do not long for more security as I don't fear anything, I still go out and talk to others as there are people out there who aren't beyond retarded and it is refreshing, I live life how I want, it's very easy to achieve, one must simply stop giving a fuck about others opinions. The rule of nature is devour to survive this will never change no matter how neutered and cucked the modern man gets and no amount of propaganda shat out of talmundvision will change that either. You either make your own security or cry about not having any, if you choose to cry you should be left for the wolves, but unfortunately libtards are a thing. Use the system against itself I have energy security by not paying them a penny and being jobless, they cant turn off my power because of their own bureaucracy.

You acknowledge the universe and its fluidity, then you say a "contradiction". The only contradiction is you not grasping that this is the way it is, just cause you think something has little to do with the Earth and our nuclear ball giving us heat and light.

I directly quoted his book, so for what it's worth, those aren't my words. But I don't think understanding a paradox is necessarily the same as trying to manipulate one's way out of the nature of it.

Calling it a paradox is probably the first step that is wrong. It is, what it is human... Define your life. But there are lots of opinions out there about a lot of things.
