Trump is merely delaying the inevitable, the complete control of the strait by Iran in the end, so that he doesn't have to take the blame; he's trying to kick the can down the road to DNC. He knows GOP is going to lose, and DNC will eventually have to end the war, and he was going to pass the buck to DNC for 'losing' the war. This merely accelerates the coming hyperinflation, and the implosion afterward.

Yes, they can control a waterway that doesn't matter much to America... Lots of projects going on to make that 20 miles of waterway obsolete.
