An educated electorate is good, but the modern public schools do not produce "freethinkers". Voters should be well-educated, not indoctrinated. Also, has it occurred to everyone that the founding fathers didn't think that everyone should be able to vote? Food for thought.

agreed that is why my point is democracy cannot function without an educated public, not indoctrinated. The whole voting issue is a much larger debate
