Ultimately, the leaders and politicians are salesmen that need to be selling their ideology to the masses and yes, pure democracy an illusion. However, we just need to contextualize the forms of government compared to other forms of government in relative terms. I do like freedom of speech and freedom of religion, rule of law, and establishing checks and balances. But these decay over time if the masses aren’t paying attention. We need to pay more attention and demand that these rights are not violated. For example, why hasn’t the government released proper files on JFK, MLK, Epstein? All citizens must be concerned and demand it because if they will get away with this, then they will get away with more.
