I grew up doing surveying. It never needed to be all that accurate, but I always tried to make it more accurate. One day I checked my "errors" against the curve of the Earth. They were exactly the same. No. I don't need to trust anyone. I can actually figure it out for myself. To make matters worse; people I suppose were well meaning will often present absurd examples of engineering that are just automatically "folded in" to ordinary projects and in some cases would be the opposite of what they claim. What's important to grasp is the scale and how the world should appear... pretty much exactly the way it does.

You just need to watch a ship sail away. Kyrie Irving was spreading this on instagram years ago, some other black sold him on it, low IQ stuff.
