the premise of medicine is that a "patient" is somehow broken and needs a doctor's intervention to manage that broken-ness. Ask one what the best thing to eat for any textbook "illness" and they will choke on a small bit of saliva, say something about moderation and to avoid fat and meat if possible. What they should say is: "I don't know, they didn't teach us about diet in med school. Therefore I'm unqualified to give you dietary advice.... In fact Drs. die of heart disease at a rate greater than the general population, so.... don't listen to me."😀
