I think that what you’re describing would be a serious betrayal. A definite example of malicious and selfish division from a proud, scared individual. He or she fears they can’t find a partner like the one they’re trying to steal. Born out of envy and jealously, they act dishonestly and dishonorably. That kind of behavior doesn’t end up *only* in a 1:1 effect of having them encounter such a similar betrayal. If someone acts like that, he or she will be met with others who betray them in other ways too. They will be robbed. They will be lied to and deceived. Vicious behavior will always result in pain. Whether immediate or not—the end is the same. Sometimes, it’s better when the perpetrator isn’t met with swift justice. The anticipation of knowing that the axe will swing eventually is what keeps them running, scared of their own shadow. It’s very sad, really.
