i don't think God cares about us carrying out a ceremony or ritual of physical baptism. what is baptism? a promise and commitment to God and yourself that you are his follower? a cleansing of sin? if we really wanna cleanse our sins and follow God then that can only happen through our actual efforts in this world. through our behavior and interactions with others. we cleanse ourselves through what we do. if we are sinners and we change and live the best life we can then we are baptized and we are following God. promises and rituals mean nothing. action means something

Then why a new covenant? Why a new command from Jesus right before He leaves that explicitly mentions baptism? And why did every single disciple follow the command to spread the gospel and baptize? There is not one instance of a disciple or believer not being baptized when having a chance to do so in the new testament. Have you been baptized? If so why or why didnt you do this physical act if it is pointless spiritually?
