Yeah I agree, he is brilliant and did the work that so many won't do (read decades old science and books that have been memory holed). I think his own state of being fat currently has to do with his continuation of being a Trauma surgeon working nights and fighting his legal battles. But he's done with that now. I do agree that he might put all the marbles into one thing where there's tons of other great aspects of health that are important. He places too little emphasis on food, where in my own experience I can't skip out on quality / in-season food or else my gut health is horrid.
