I don’t know a lot about this, honestly. I know that I don’t want people to die for the dollar but what’s the alternative that doesn’t take the US back to the dark ages? The dollar is all I know and I can’t fully wrap my mind around an American culture without it. When I found out that Qaddafi was sodomized with a bayonet, I knew I couldn’t support the mission. [Muammar Gaddafi was killed](https://millenium-state.com/blog/2019/05/03/the-dinar-gold-the-real-reason-for-gaddafis-murder/) in 2011 during a NATO-backed military intervention, and some analysts and critics argue a major, often overlooked factor was his attempt to create a gold-backed African currency to replace the US dollar for oil sales. This initiative threatened the global petrodollar system, which is crucial for US financial dominance.

Unfortunately the currency has always had an expiration date on it. The new thing is going to some crypto thing.

Well that's taking a big exploratory bite out of the Reign Of The U.S Dollar apple. Good one. As you get to the petrodollar thing think petrogas dollar which they're working on with the help of our military and some covert stuff. Competition - it's hard to find academic economist that discussed the framework being laid down for a gold reserve system. They all really don't like gold. Much of the fighting that is going on is about this. System vs System. A biggie. Fascinating stuff.
