There's no such thing as a Islamist, as for apologetics? Yes. Two things can be true at the same time absolutely, but "Propaganda is confirmation bias" is exactly what you pointed out. 2 things can be true, but based on the individual, they can make one of those things false simply because, or neither, or both.

Humans are biased animals. Some humans can't even have rationale thoughts. Lots of humans are on the scale of what we not retarded humans call retarded or very close. People seek out their echo chambers. People seek out propaganda.

Agreed, the threat modern societies face is we are too large. Even in the 90s we were still balkanizing and creating countries, since then we are forced to live amongst people groups of a radically incompatible ideology. This exist in the Muslim world with the Saudis, to the European world with the current German regime. Hypothetically, Germany would split into 2 different countries, 1 allied with Poland, 1 with (insert liberal European country here) and the result would speak for itself.

Europe has always been a shit show. Those people haven't stopped killing each other since they met. Killing and banging each other, I think most of them are related because of all the wars and conquering they did to one another. Sorta like the Middle East. I guess America just exports war...
