Unvarnished truth? Where would I find it so I could deliver it to you? I could give you my honest opinion... at least in theory. But, why should you suppose I'm not bought into something untrue? About all you can do is try to learn more about it than the people who tell you about it. I would suggest someone who I've never had the impression was trying to sell something they knew wasn't true and has reversed his opinion in real time as he became better informed: Brett Weinstein. I've watched him come to realize my position was closer to correct than his own, though I'd flatter myself to suppose I had anything much to do with it. He still holds some opinions I see as laughably, cartoonishly incorrect. But, I understand why he has that opinion. He's not dishonest. And that's about as much as we can ask for.
