torrenting or tor or the onion network, or "The Dark Web". Is a system to download, share files, communicate "anonymously". It's also a good way to download a virus, get arrested, put on an watchlist, have your identity stolen etc. If you don't already know about it, it's best to not know about it. As you probably don't have the necessary technical knowledge. Not saying I do either of course. Torrenting refers to downloading a torrent file, something like a movie, song, program, pornography. While torrenting as he referred to in the OP can be a good way to communicate digitally anonymously, it can also open you up to certain dark aspects in the digital realm. Hence Why I said best to stay ignorant of it.

TY, logical. Ignorance is never an option I consciously make. Whether I like it or not, it's my best hope for making informed decisions about things.
