The “devil made me do it” angle is interesting, and even if it were true, it wouldn't be named as such. The devil is no amateur at this:) The modern version is being judged by public attention and being declared a saintly victim while the causes which you can't be certain of or checked like a feeling or a diagnosis have to be accepted by faith. Minus the tragedy itself, I don’t expect this case to produce much that helps anyone. The only practical takeaway is uninteresting but vital: look harder at stacked psychiatric medications, and don’t shrug off new red flags, intrusive thoughts, or sudden personality changes. On voices: in my own encounters it split the way the literature does. The negative and debilitating ones were a part of an illness. And the “this is God” ones were the ones people were certain about. I was in no position to judge the wholesome experiences. Braven... Braven...:)
