Lol damn they are persistent. Even going and changing the way felons were previously being punished by their actions by not being able to participate in the democratic process unless able to show rehabilitation over close to a decade without reoffending and expunging a felony through a process that shows a desire to be able to participate in the society, thus ensuring that if a previous felon was to vote they were only able to after years of change and showing desire and a actual interest in improving their own lives let alone the lives of their community, now instead they won't have to prove any of this or have any clear invested interest in the bettering of their community since they are clearly commiting felonies currently and have no real interest in the community they belong to by criminalizing their neighbors, now they'll be given voting power to ensure that these same individuals can help in the process of dismantling civil society by voting for the worst possible candidate for the community as a whole but also the candidate that will directly benefit them and ensure they are given lighter sentences if they continue their criminal careers

Elites/tyrants are insulating themselves from the middle class with idiocy in positions of power, but now it will be "powered" by felons, or at least more so:) Too many reasons to list why this is a bad idea, but it’s a clear trend to undermine society if you’re holding onto illegitimate power.
