I don' see the purpose either, at least nothing useful in all of this. Hunter is controlled by his addictions, not particularly smart, stable and or useful.

To what end remains a mystery. Hunter embodies such dysfunction and infamy that he is practically ready for a big screen adaptation:) For some reason I keep picturing him as the Jaws character from the James Bond movies, complete with those spiky, gappy addict teeth:) I watched too many psycho killer movies as a kid before I could properly process them… and now look at the commentary I produce:)
