Not everything is as useless and tragic as it looks. There are interests that want the world reshaped, and war and social decline help that change along. “Order out of chaos” is an old slogan. Women already declared a kind of war on the unborn, up to birth, sometimes past it. Clancy will get used to polarize societal gender split. You don’t think some people will watch the spectacle and mutter, “Lord, I see what you did for Lindsay... I want that for me too”?:)
