imo xrp is the worst of the worst team in crypto, they own a gigantic amount of the supply, (from my understanding) the earliest transactions on chain were somehow also "lost." they've got very few active users and nothing anyone is interested in using on chain. what they do have is amazing marketing and what seems to be a lot of relationships with government and banking employees. it seems they are a main force trying to subvert the btc reserve descisions. i'm not sure how or why xrp is still even in the conversation with crypto or what justifies the market cap. XRP has claimed for years they will be able to support extremeley high tps, but how are we supposed to know when nobody actually uses the chain? other chains have already proven they can capture users and support very high tps. the narrative for years now for XRP has been the SEC case, now that it's ending I guess we'll find out.

The reasons which you haven't touched on is XRP's compliance with Besel 3 and ISO2022 regs. Bitcoin has neither. To this day, no one on BTC's side has confirmed what asset backing does it have. Thin air doesn't count.

that's interesting. I'd argue btc is backed by the largest and most decentralized peer 2 peer digital payment system in the world, not to mention the investment needed to mine it. Not saying something can't replace it, but the network alone is tremendously valuable as is.

That wont help investors if the crypto ever goes belly up. Investors can't claim any recourse action in the event of failure or fraud simply by someone saying infrastructure is asset backed. This is one of the principle reasons behind backing of tangible assets that can be used for recourse in the event something bad happens..

yeah, the entire premise of btc is to be outside of these methods of control xrp people are about as opposed to the founding ideas of btc as possible, only interested in speculation on the price

It's not about control, it's about laying the foundation for a safe and secure platform. If it isn't, then people will vote with their wallets and go somewhere else. Investor confidence should not be under estimated.

In the world of banking cash, there is such a thing as depositor insurance. Same thing.

There's really only three major cryptos that exchanges and wallet's support without having to second guess if they do if not. BTC, ETH and XRP. Other are being added on a bit at a time. XRP has utility by being asset backed. It also has a stablecoin (RLUSD), but at present has quite a low ranking on crypto markets. If it drops below the $2 mark, I maybe interested in acquiring more, but at the moment it's a wait and see situation.

I would not guess it above $6-7. It likely could go higher, but end of the day it has a shit ton of tokens and is a system of settlements. It is an app more than a store of value. After all the shit it has been through, it appears to have a bright future. Since day one, it was a good idea and had a use case.

I got out of XRP for those very reasons. If RLUSD becomes more widespread and locks in solidly to a 1:1 ratio (not 0.997:1 as it is now), then it could effectively be an alternative substitute for physical cash. 😱

I held xrp for years, I've currently got a few left. XRP will dump in the short term as we are in a C wave of a wave 4, just like BTC. Once it drops, it is a perfect time to buy for the big wave 5 up. After that expect another ABC dump and possible alt coin season in Q2, another 5 wave up could happen around sep/oct end of 2025 and early to mid 2026, then a massive bear market. It works in 4 year cycle, with the Business cycle (dept payment cycle). IMO, i could be wrong
