Their whole culture is finding loopholes and sneaking around morality to cover up their animalistic sins. Oh look ive found this law that lets me take your home and livlihood for myself, but look theres a law its legal! Its totally not stealing now!! These are the same guys that snap chickens necks so they can masterbate on sundays, transferring their sin onto the chicken.

You are right, they find loop holes in their Torah and act like it's not totally just sacrilegious to cheat their way through having to follow thier scripture. Like as if God would be ok with them disavowing his demands just as long as they weaseled their way around him.
