hmm I'm open to this. But my question, what animals were bread for this? How did humans manage to know so much about genetics that they got the gut biome of a bear to digest bamboo. on top of that, how did they give the panda the thumb to grab bamboos. then, how did they map the panda's neurology to search for bamboo, use its thumb to handle the bamboo, chew extra to eat the bamboo, and of course to do a handstand to pee. This feels impractical just from understanding neurology, let alone physiology, gut biomes, and successful mating (I mean the ability to have a baby that functions. ligers and mules cant work for example). I want to believe but I'm doubting reaaaaaally hard

I know I don't really belive it, I doubt it totally I just find the panda sus for sure so it's fun to speculate about possible reasons for the absence of a history prior and it's strange behaviors. but yeah If I was to give science that much credit, and i tried to imagine how they creation process would go, i don't think any of those peculiarities would of been purposeful genetic modifications, I believe it would of been flukes of nature that the animal just learned to adapt to, like it's doing what it can with the environment its in, but its not a perfect union butcits also not unable to survive just as long ad its helped with reproduction and its gated off from predators or actual dangers. Also it would of been the most successful attempt at creating such an animal, probably would of been predated by many dead, freakish horrors before they got something that peed upside down, and they said "close enough". This is assuming my theory was based in reality, it was mostly just my attempt to fill in the missing plot holes If I was a science fiction writer expanding on the "*true*" history of the panda.
