A system within their system, no matter how much "cryptography" you throw at it (very little in the case of most blockchains and currencies), could never be frontier. Conway was correct. The movement was coopted, as [Roger Ver well described in his book](https://www.amazon.com/Hijacking-Bitcoin-Hidden-History-BTC/dp/B0CXWBCWDR), and now the greedy who do not even code nor understand the ethos of the cypherpunk and freedom as in liberation movement, destroys the movement of freedom itself while the powers that be scream out, "look 'ma, no hands."
