Isn't that just an incredible display? You can bet on anything. I had a fleeting thought to look for life and death bets but I'm trying to control myself more.

I misunderstood, I thought it was the stock market (which fluctuates on Trump's word, for example his tariffs). Definitely think twice about betting, esp. if you feel the need to "control" yourself. I can see how easy it would be to start clicking on things, they certainly make it easy. I don't see how it works, just as well, I can imagine each click costing $hundreds or more. From where does the money come from, if someone "wins"?

I never heard of it before. It looks like it is a stock that you buy and sell through a private market/company? **Can you sell Kalshi stock?** Yes, as a shareholder, you may be able to sell your Kalshi shares through Forge’s private market platform—subject to company policies and market interest. **To get started:** Create a Forge account and complete identity and ownership verification. Submit a sell order (ask) by specifying your desired price, quantity and share class. Forge will work to match your order with interested buyers in the marketplace. If a match occurs, Forge coordinates the necessary company approvals and compliance checks, including any transfer restrictions or right of first refusal (ROFR) processes Kalshi may have in place. Please note that the ability to complete a transaction depends on Kalshi’s secondary trading policies, available demand and transaction approvals. While liquidity is not guaranteed, listing your shares on Forge allows you to signal interest and potentially connect with qualified buyers. I'm not interested. What I meant was control myself from looking up and posting crazy things that somehow seem to find me (after looking). I'm trying to make myself boundaries.

They find a buyer in that market/company. The stock market has a similar set up kind of. There are "[Market Makers](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/marketmaker.asp)" that set the prices. **What Is a Market Maker?** The term "market maker" refers to a firm or individual who actively quotes both sides of a market in a particular security by providing bids and offers (known as asks) along with the market size of each. In fact, they are obligated to engage in such trading activity. Market makers provide liquidity and depth to markets and profit from the difference in the bid-ask spread. They may also trade for their own accounts. Such trades are known as principal trades.
