This may be a tangent but I guess it's related...so I'm interested in the connection. I once dated a guy who couldn't experience sexual satisfaction. He seemed to have a lot of emotional trauma because of his apparently possessive, overbearing and "protective" mother. He blamed her for his circumcision and, therefore, his inability to completely enjoy intercourse. I say all of that to say, "What's the big deal if a man gets circumcised or not?" A lot of people don't think it matters. You seem to think it's an issue of great importance so, please, explain to me why. Parents often make decisions that either benefit a child or hurt a child but they think they're making the right decision. By definition, a parent has ultimate control over a child because, in the Christian perspective anyway, parents have to take the ultimate responsibility for the child. Being a parent means accepting sole accountability before God. Therefore, really, truly, do you also have such disgust and anger for parents who do other things to (for) their children? It seems to me that one could see this as unnecessary mutilation and abuse. Others could see this as a biblical mandate required before God as a sign of faithfulness/obedience.
