By your logic regarding john 20:23, priests can override the blood of Jesus by "retaining" someone's sins? Pray "for" is not pray "to" Catholics pray "to" the dead I see catholics pray to mary much more often than to the Father, even though Jesus himself taught us to pray to the father Jesus is very clear on the requirements for salvation brother Denominations are divisions within the church, which paul warned us against. I dont have much of an opinion on the online church thing, its not like it's a salvation issue anyway

Retaining is kept by the individual who does not confess their sins. "God is the God of the living, not the dead" Matthew 22:32, "For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive." 1 Corinthians 15:22. Our brothers and sisters who are in Christ are not dead. As far as Catholics praying to Mary more often than the Father, as a former Methodist/Agnostics this is more a perception than reality. Just curious as what denomination you attend and its obviously a salvation issue to you since you said Catholics aren't Christian.
