I grew up as a "pastor's kid". We had our own church growing up. I guess you can say it was protestant. I mean we never went by that, we just said we were Christian. At least that's what I remember growing up. We would go to a physical church 2-3 per week. Due to financial times, my family had to basically stop their own church. As I got older, I kept those values in my heart. To this day, I will always say make the sacrifice and intent to make it to a church. That times time and dedication. Today, as an adult, I go to the Catholic church. That being said, there are weak minded people in the Catholic church but I imagine that holds true in all "denominations". It's all about the intent in which you're going to church. I believe we have to dedicate time to God on a weekly basis, the least we can do. The reason I like the Catholic church is because the mass is very traditional and it's derived of the gospel. It's not as flashy as the mainstream churches. I don't need flashy. I want an environment where I can put all my focus on the mass and they time I'm dedicating to God. It's been around for years. We cannot always control the corruption of leadership but my responsibility is me and my family. Having GOD in our house. I don't think there is a perfect answer @Matt. I think you have to take your journey and see where the Lord guides you. For now, he's guided me to the Catholic church.
