Depends on one's denomination, I suppose. As an Orthodox Christian (or trying to be a good one), I have to have a physical Church, there's no online. Very ascetic community, usually. Even within more apostolic churches, it can vary from parish to parish. Some great advice I once heard (Fr. Moses in Texas): Don't convert to (a church), convert to Christ. When you convert to Christ, the church will follow. He used "Orthodoxy" of course, but people looking for churches generally do not start with Orthodoxy (but often end with it).

Did you grow up an Orthodox Christian? I have been interested in the Orthodox church for some time and the only one within hours is Greek Orthodox and I am not greek. Still, the Apostolic connection and it's asceticism are like fresh water to my soul.
