Also notice that all the men recorded with multiple wives - suffered greatly from the practice. We still practice polygamy in America - we call it "divorce and remarriage". Just like ancient polygamy, there is only one "favorite" wife at a time. But the husband still supports the out of favor wife. (And the ancient husband typically gets them pregnant as well - important for ancient middle eastern women).
