havent heard of the dakar, even over the ruf? yeah problem is the newer stuff is suffering the same problems as the American cars. You can't work on the newer german stuff anymore by yourself. Everything is locked down by the computer or needing specialized parts to change the oil, seems like.

Sadly true, that’s why I prefer older cars I guess if I had that kind of money I’d just build a 90’s Porsche to dakar like specs. It’s basically a lifted and build to run the Dakar rally.  here’s the recent one  I believe they’re also called safaris.
