I, as well, instead of (me, too); the problem is bears might come looking for you whether you want to avoid it or not. Another tool I am seriously thinking of acquiring is thermal monocular, and nv monocular as well. This way, I could use the themal mono to spot any potentially living beings hiding behind the bushes, and try to avoid those areas. Bears have been known to wait behind the bush, to ambush other animals, including human.
