America will always be remembered by the North Vietnamese. We can thank LBJ and the military war in Vietnam. It is interesting to me because I had to register for the draft in 1973. Before that, the kids talked about the war (maybe it really wasn't a war, was it? It was something else.) I didn't want my brother to die in Vietnam. I knew that much at age 15. I loved my brother, and certainly did not know our society was collapsing into the kind of collective we were supposed to be fighting against. It is very sad. It only occurred to me recently the loss of capital infrastructure, the factories closing, was related in a real way to the bombing, the burning and destruction of the villages in Vietnam. It is all connected. You can't make that up. Especially when people in America wear underwear, and use other things made in Vietnam. Those poor kids who died in battle knew none of this.
