I like your idea of a compost toilet that has rotating sections! Sounds great for homesteads or hunting cabins even! Something that keeps you off the system, not needing a septic tank to maintain... I imagine its got its own unique challenges, but longterm its beneficial. As for camping 100 kids using a poop trench! Wow my eyes were watering just reading that! Lol!! My first time camping was with my grade 5 class. Maybe 10 years old?? We had outside toilets in stalls.... they were dark and covered in bugs and spider webs! I remember lifting the lid and seeing huge black spiders in website I freaked out and held onto my poop for the whole weekend. I managed to survive! So long story short, bringing your own shovel and some wet wipes works best! 😁🧻

It is a sustainable, natural, traditional, organic process, that has proven its value over the eons.

''I like your idea of a compost toilet that has rotating sections! Sounds great for homesteads or hunting cabins even!'' Rotating sections so that no 'fresh' stuff coming down each day to interfere with the stuff down there composting, not ideal composting process. You gotta give the 'old stuff' enough time by itself to compost asap, no more 'fresh' stuff coming down. I am also thinking about pig toilet. Okinawans had used it for centuries; they have loved pork, and it's one of the world's blue zone, along with Sardinia. Koreans also have used it in Jeju island, and their black pigs are famous for outstanding taste and texture. No health issues ever. In fact, their meat is considered far healthier than regular pork.
