To be honest, I don't think it ever could be HIPAA compliant, because part of that means administrators being able to log employee access and activity, which bmail could never do because of the zero-knowledge design. Ironically, some of requirements to being certified as a "safe" provider, means making it much less private 🤷♂️

Fair play. I still think I could use it in my future business, and I think it is a good idea to have clients with bmail addresses. Health is a sensitive topic. I got the 1 year plan and will see how things go. thanks!

Absolutely, the healthcare industry was one of the first I thought of for bmail because of the sensitive nature. The SGX technology that we uses was actually developed for the healthcare and banking industry to be able to process extremely sensitive data without allowing any access to it.
