I mean on some level it is the current greatest opportunity humanity has to defeat corporatocracy taking over the planet. Woodrow Wilson, Jekyll's island, Nixon taking us off the gold standard and having a tumultuous presidency clouded by outside influence and surveillance.
I believe binance is the best exchange to buy but i dont know all of them
Strike They're a bitcoin only company Their fee schedule is based on monthly volume from 0.99% down to 0.39% They let you purchase on a recurring basis for $0 fees after the first week. If you use a referral link, you get your first $500 free. I've bought on Coinbase before so maybe this will help. I think regardless of the platform, there are two things to consider. 1\. What price do you want to buy/sell the Asset at? (Limit Order) 2\. How bad/quick do you want to buy/sell the Asset at? (Market Order) In your case, it sounds like the default market order was set on Coinbase (I made the same mistake my first time). The market price keeps changing every milli-second (or faster) depending on the market volatility, so what you see might not be what you get. There is a toggle to go into advanced mode, where you can set the "limit" price, i.e. the price you want to buy/sell it for. Also, Coinbase has a tiered service offering, so the fee change accordingly. There's so much more to this but hopefully gets you on the right path. In the long run, unless you're trading this, I see the "fee" as the cost of convenience or doing business. I realize this is a contentious statement but if you're holding long-term the rewards will hopefully outweigh the short-term cost/fees. Welcome to the Bitcoin family!
Agree but I struggle with whether Bitcoin’s rise leads to financial freedom for some, but creates new systems of control for others (corporate-controlled mining pools, surveillance technologies). Can it still be considered a net gain for human freedom?
