Yes, the best bread I have ever tasted was from a family restaurant, 'Grandma's Table', now, defunct, back in 80s/90s, in Beaverton, OR; I was working as a dishwasher back then there; the bread was freshly baked several times a day. Great smell, taste, and texture, soft, but still doughy slightly, that bread, and milk was all I needed for a truly 5-star meal. However, that wonderful bread didn't last very long, only a few hours, after that, it turned into sawdust brick. Only two were truly 5 stars: that bread, and fried chicken, so good, I could eat them cold, breast no less, but not dry, flavorless, like most, but tender/moist/full of flavor even when cold! Not greasy, but rich. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ForgottenOregon/posts/2980501912217727/
