In your situation the bigger issue is gonna be battery storage and not solar power generation. 600kWh isn't a ton but thats a lot, what exactly is this going to be powering? Whole homestead or just some automatic heaters/feeders/waterers for critters?

if you're going to be needing steady ~20kWh per day, you want to have at least double that in generation capacity, so 40kWh+ worth of panels. And you'll want 5+ days of storage capacity. So 100kWh at minimum of batteries. Thats A LOT and very expensive depending on the method. From my experience you can get a majority of your energy for the week in the 2 sun shine days of the week. But storing that for the rainy days is the hard part. The batteries also need to be housed in a temperature/humidity controlled room.

Thank you, Neo. I want it to supplement the farm. the barn and the greenhouse mainly for now. I would like to eventually have it for the whole farm, but first I want to master growing produce at scale. Do you recommend any particular suppliers of these DIY kits?
