Most people live paycheck to paycheck and can’t afford a $500 emergency and still afford to eat. So…I would love to prep reasonably but I did that during COVID, spent thousands, and now I have to replace most of my stuff-mostly food and meds. Maybe once I get my tax return, I’ll research generators and solar kits. 🙏

I understand, and I am not as prepped as I wish I was, but I can make electricity if needed, can pull water from the air with a dehumidier, do have water filtration devices, and do have shelter that is mobile. It really doesn't cost much. Nearly everyone I see online complaining about electricity out from the storms in NW Indiana (where I am from) has spent on things like alcohol and video games, eating out, and shoes/clothes/jewelry, a more flashy car than they need, etc. Priorities are wrong and now they are suffering and needing bail outs. When SHTF for real - not just a little storm - they are going to be absolutely screwed.
