No, I am not a doctor. I just play one on TV. Share your tinctures, tonics and salves and I’ll share mine. Also, cake decorating and cooking stuff. Also, stained glass art. Who knows? Let’s get crazy.

I don't know if this is already a thing or not... But I had an idea, of using a roof based collector. So you replace a piece of roof with a hole ( collector ) piped to a tank in a roof space. Would work a treat, the water would need treated though obviously. 🙏
Very creative. U got me thinking of an underground system, not a true well, but the water could be collected through a hidden system in the gutters that is piped into underground barrels with filtration or the like. I really wanna build an old school waterwheel, they are such a pretty an non invasive power source.
If you want potable water on demand, you could dig a cistern in your yard if HOA and city regs allow it. Polyethylene tank, Sand and carbon filter, submersible or hand pump. If your downspouts run to popup drains in the yard, bury your barrels/tanks there. Even easier if you already have a swimming pool, just post-treat with carbon filter/ RO. Unless you bury it deep, would still show up on thermal. Put a greenhouse or gazebo on top to hidethe thermal. Or you could buy an old hot tub, clean it out and connect downspout to it. That would be discrete. You could also conceal rain barrels in a lean-to shed. Store your garden tools in there too for plausible deniability. Or use it for a chicken coop. The thermal mass would keep the birds comfy in the winter. If you live in an arid climate, collect condensate from your AC. On a hot humid day you might get 10-20 gallons. It's distilled water so add minerals to taste after filtration.

Yeah, that would absolutely work also... However, there is a slight issue you need to get the water back out/up. If you do it in a roof space or at height, at least, you can use the head to get the water out the tank under pressure, depending on the height difference, obviously more or less. But your idea could make a better hidden version, given nothing looks different on the house itself. 👌🙏
