I'm not a national socialist nor do I support the ideology or agree with it in anyway. That doesn't mean you can't, Holocaust denial is accepted under free speech, last time I checked, it's still legal to deny the Holocaust if that's your perogative, no one will be punished for anything legal. Speaking about the Nazi party, WW2, Hitler, accepted historical events as well as debated and alternate history is AOK. This is not meant to glorify or offend, but if you have a strong aversion to the Nazis, you're likely to find all conversation on the topic that doesn't outright condemn them to be inappropriate. That's unfortunate because you lack the ability to critically think and approach even uncomfortable subjects without a emotional reaction. This groups not for everyone, and it's not some kind of neo Nazi group or glaze fest, so cringy, gay love of the Nazi's is prohibited and will not get you banned but will be grounds to clown on you relentlessly. Don't be gay, or else we may have to pack train cars wall to wall with other homosexuals and ship you off to... P-Town, Rhode island, I heard that place is pretty gay

One of histories weirdest realities.... the Nazis, had one of the most diverse armies in the world....  Although the cycle of Empires rise and fall, always have the same characteristics as you've noted throughout, it's simply heard management on the largest scale possible.

I don't discount as though it's a bug not a feature that the Nazi's appealed to a wider variety of people than did their detractors. Allied personnel joined the military rather than go to prison. Nazi's, perhaps not so much.

Great insight here.  “Modern day America is in both of these situations today. Some see the possibility for being part of a great nation and rejoice. The others hope your cow dies.”  I see a lot of corollaries today. As @thoughtcriminal has pointed out, we in the UK, Canada, and US are already in the midst of what will probably be, looking back in a century, another incredibly tragic moment in history. Like the Germans, for the most part, life under Nazism was the same. Their freedoms of speech and press were gone and couldn’t vote on certain things anymore but their paychecks increased a little. They had to fly certain flags. They got in trouble if they talked to certain people and were under constant surveillance. But their lives were the same in most other substantive ways just like before the war. Nazism, Communism, Americanism…they all lead to the same result when good people do absolutely nothing.  We’re all being slowly boiled in a pot.
