Still no way to know without trusting in authorities who are known to hate us and known to almost always lie to us. There is a accepted curvature scale that the "science" community and nasa present. I don't have any specifics but examples are easy to find where things at much greater distance than the scale allows for can be seen, and that is often directly over the surface of a lake or body of water. I know the Chigago skyline, and that includes bottom floors of buildings, can be seen from places across the water when it should be behind curvature. Your science community will reply with theories like reflections and mirages. There are mountains that can bee seen from well beyond the accepted distance in numerous locations. Most of the lies we have been raised with are based on the fact that the vast majority will never look for themselves or do any testing of theories that are presented as fact.  I brought this up recently to very little response. I don't believe the Earth is flat, but I don't believe the government scientists who poison us and lie to us for a living. Any information the government and its proxies present to the public is for a reason, and for thir advantage. Just another mystery as far as I'm concerned.

Are you trying to use logic, reasoning, and science to dissuade flat earthers? Sounds like a losing battle.

It's not a losing battle. They just want to know the truth, even if they also want to confirm a "truth" they wish to believe. Most of their claims are poor enough they essentially are begging someone to dispute it. Some are invested in the idea more or less as a grift of some sort or other. Most are not.

The Earth is actually more like egg or pair shaped, that's why you can't just apply a spherical calculation to it.

Most of what I've seen about it is just confirmation bias and most flat earthers are unwilling to even discuss it, simply pointing you to "look it up" or something along those lines. There's 3 reasons people believe in the flat earth, as far as I can tell: 1\. Torah/Quran worship leads them to believe Genesis is 100% accurate, and all science is just Satan worship 2\. They're ignorant and naive. Maybe these people you can get to, but they need more help than a toothpick in a ball. 3\. They're schizophrenically suspicious of the government.
