Largely true, though undoubtedly incomplete. My sense is that air conditioning alone is more important than all medical advancements combined. The ability to eat something approximating an optimal diet is probably more important than all medical advancements combined. The availability of cars and other rapid transportation is probably more important than all medical advancements combined, and possibly a hundred other things. And if I'm wrong about any one of them... together, they are undoubtedly more important than all medical advancements combined.

Explain air conditioning:) I have no reference why that is important. The historic data set for US and UK is pretty much identical, vaccine have no significance except for the side effects they cause now. More people die from measles vaccine now than are saved. If someone has interest in this I will dig this up because I researched it months ago.
