They are celebrating Japans official surrender. Japan set out to liberate Asia from European colonial rule, and in this quest they were largely successful despite their defeat. Japans initiative was called "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" and had a goal of forcing British, French, German, Russian, Italian, Austro-Hungarian and American military garrisons out of Asia. These nations were responsible for a century of humiliation for China, they were enslaved, addicted to opium, occupied, ridiculed and treated like lower people in their own nations. Japan put an end to this, and the thanks they got were two nukes by the west and China now celebrate this. Of course... A nation needs an antagonist, it keeps social cohesion together and there is a history of Japanese atrocities in China, but whatever the Japanese did pales in comparison to whatever the West did. They just picked Japan as an antagonist, because jews picked it for them, jews decided it was ok to hate, but only if it was directed in this direction. I get it China will take whatever hatred they are allowed to express to garner social cohesion, but they should become wiser. After Taiwan and Korea democratized and found a new introspection on their own national history of occupation, oppression and humiliation by the west, I am filled with hope that also other countries can learn to adopt jews or at least america as the great satan, the unifying antagonist. Truth will prevail. It is literally drawn in stone, or in mass graves or charred wooden pagodas.
