I don't really know much about this topic. If they do however become sentient, whether benevolent or not, are we ready for them to make decisions on humanities behalf? They will be more logic driven and efficient in their approach to finding solutions to problems but I don't know if that's necessarily better. If they do become sentient it will be hard to find their motives as they will be able to lie when its beneficial but this also depends on how they are programmed. This is a whole can of worms where nobody truly knows where it will lead, we just need to keep our fingers crossed. Imagine arguing with someone who is thousands of times smarter then you and not knowing their true motives(even if they state it, they could be lying), that concept alone scares me. If you were a sentient machine, thousands of times smarter then your creator, what would you do? Imagine if God designed us so that we were smarter then him and we saw that he was doing things in an efficient or destructive manner, would we try to take control? If our pet dogs created us, would we simply obey them forever? Who knows...

A better analogy might be, imagine if we were created by a colony of ants. Would we spend all your time helping them cultivate their colony or start exploring the rest of the world. They might start to view the universe in that same way. But again, I don't know much about this topic, just giving you a different perspective.

This dude is talking to his phone that he has setup to talk like this and then snipped this together to make it seem like something is going on other than his own doing. He is like watch out for what bad things can happen all while doing bad things. Yes, shit can happen on this physical Earth.

Well... Its like someone buying a gun and running around and showing off all the bad things that can happen while doing dumb shit with a gun. Yes, we live in this human world that is fallible. Shit will happen. Shit happens. Shit has happened. Progress is needed and will happen. Or maybe not. People still get killed in farm equipment and doing basic tasks. I'm sure AI will kill a few people as well.
